We apologize for the inconvenience but we are updating our photography course & workshop pages and some are currently not available. If you have question about any course or workshop that does not have a completed page yet please feel free to contact us.

General Information:

If you would like to learn about photography we would like to help you learn. For over 20 years we have offered both group and private photography lessons, covering just about every aspect of photography from the most basic "how to use a camera class" to advanced techniques. Our "classroom atmosphere" is relaxed and less structured than a typical school classroom, allowing us to be flexible and better meet the needs of our students. All of our courses and workshops are based on years of "real world" professional photographic experience, and are not textbook driven. We do include a course / workshop specific study guide written by our lead instructor with each photography course and workshop. All of our courses and workshops are a combination of lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice. If you have any questions about any of our courses and workshops please contact us. Email usually works best for course and workshop questions. Please allow a few days for us to reply as only our instructors return emails and calls regarding courses and workshops and they are also our busiest photographers.

Our Photography workshops and courses are listed first followed by software and finally studio consultation.

Customized Courses and Workshops are available:

If you don't see what you are looking for there is a good chance we can create a custom workshop or course for your photography needs. This is a popular option for both businesses and individuals who want to learn a particular aspect of photography. For more information please contact us. Please allow a few days for us to reply as only our instructors return emails and calls regarding courses and workshops and they are also our busiest photographers.

For detailed course information including the schedule, please click here.

"...I had second thoughts about taking a beginners class. Having taken several photography classes before & considering myself to be an advanced amateur, I figured it would be wasted time . I took the class mainly to get my wife into a classroom setting in as much as she would not go alone. When they say this is an introductory and intermediate class they mean it. The notes and info print-outs that you get are second to none. The basics are presented in a manner that is quickly and easily understood, then they move on to a more advanced hands on approach as they address each of the basics. When I would have a question of a more advanced level, they welcomed it, and as they clarified it and then would gently bring the class along so they could understand the answer as well. So to summarize, unless you are completely familiar with all things photographic, and you know all there is to know about flash and all its tricks, by all means take the class, you will learn a good deal."...
Roger S. former student.

Nikon Capture NX2™ and NX-D™ Workshop

"WOW what a great day! I watched videos, read my instruction manuals, spent I don't know how many hours trying to figure out how to use these flashes my husband bought me and accomplished 1 thing, feeling stupid.....so my husband takes me to this workshop and in one day I learned it. Without any other training and just using what I learned at this class, I use the Creative Lighting System all the time now. They didn't even care that I am a professional photographer and therefore they are teaching one of their competition or at least a potential competitor. I'm not in their league yet but someday... Thank you! Lauren H. former student and studio owner.

Photoshop™ Real World Photo Editing Workshop

This is a one day workshop is a shortened, faster paced version of our 8 week Photoshop™ course. We cover the common photographic retouching techniques we use in the studio every week just like in the 8 week course. This includes the simple ways to "fix" the common photographic "problems" that photographers run into every day. Want to fix red-eye, move a head from one photograph to another, and create exceptional Black & White photos? We will show you these and more. All the details can be found here.

"...OMG! This workshop was amazing, I have tried a few other classes and thought I just couldn't get it but this workshop worked! My instructor was Richard (Rick)- he had about 25 students and each time one of us was having trouble but somehow he managed to walk each of us through everything. It was like having my own personal teacher, he explained things differently if we were confused, he showed us a different way to do things when we were stuck. Most teachers show you 1 way and if you don't get it "oh well" but not Rick, he was patient with all of us, none of us was ever bored...simply great! THANK YOU!!!" Dani T. former student.

This really is a win - win situation, we love teaching photography, you want to improve your studio or open a photography business and we can refer clients to you.
